How to word a wedding thank you when one person out of a pair that was invited showed up? - note from the couple on the wedding program
I am working on thank you notes for my wedding. What is the appropriate etiqutte if a couple has been invited, and a person outside of the couple was doing in the situation? Dirty Looks to highlight not only the gift and I thank the person who came closest, but it seems impolite to rub his face that only one of them came ... How does it work?

Tell them you're happy about it and was able to do so, but he missed and wanted to see this and this and that he / she could do. Then, of course, thank you for the gift.
